What You Need To Know About Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite

Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite is a supplement that will reportedly boost testosterone levels and energy levels, as well as to support muscle mass gains and stamina.

According to the manufacturers, Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite is formulated to “pump up your workouts, energy levels and endurance”, as well as to help reduce recovery time after workouts. The product could also potentially have a libido-boosting element to it, which the manufacturers merely allude to in their product description with phrases such as “light a fire” and “get your passion back.”

What Are The Side Effects Of Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite?

There are numerous ingredients found in Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite that could cause a range of side effects.

Tribulus terrestris can sometimes cause mild insomnia, and there are some concerns that it may be linked to prostate problems in men. Fenugreek is known to lower blood sugar levels, making it unsuitable for diabetics. Side effects of Fenugreek include diarrhoea, stomach upset, bloating, gas, and a “maple syrup” odour in the urine. It can also cause nasal congestion, coughing, wheezing, facial swelling, and severe allergic reactions in hypersensitive people.

Maca appears to cause dehydration, and so should be taken with water. It may increase oestrogen levels, and in post-menopausal women can cause hot flushes.

High doses of Tongkat Ali can cause insomnia and increased body temperature, along with restlessness and irritability.

Panax Ginseng can cause the consumer to have trouble sleeping. Other side effects from Panax Ginseng include changes in blood pressure, headaches, agitation, an upset stomach, and dizziness. It is possible (but unusual) to be allergic to Panax Ginseng.

Yohimbe can cause a wide range of side effects, including stomach upset, excitation, tremor, sleep problems, anxiety or agitation, high blood pressure, a racing heartbeat, dizziness, stomach problems, drooling, sinus pain, irritability, headache, frequent urination, bloating, rash, nausea, and vomiting. High doses can cause more severe effects.

How Much Does Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite Cost?

Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite can be purchased from the official Zhou Nutrition website. A single bottle costs $32.99 plus delivery charges. Customers can sign up for the company’s auto-ship program (called Subscribe and Save), and receive a 5% discount ($31.34) and free shipping. Customers will be sent a new bottle monthly until they cancel. In general we advise our readers to avoid auto-ship programs such as this, as they can be difficult to cancel, and are easy to forget about over time. This combination often means that signing up for an auto-ship program costs customers more in the long run, even with the discounts offered.

The product is also available from Amazon. Here a single bottle costs $32.99 plus delivery charges.

Our Verdict On Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite

Testosterone boosters are some of the least reliable groups of supplements on the market. Most don’t work, and those that do are normally so prone to causing side effects and long-term issues that we cannot seriously recommend them. Many supplements marketed as testosterone boosters merely boost the libido, which consumers often take to be a sign of increased testosterone levels. Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite combines libido boosting ingredients such as tribulus terrestris and tongkat ali with ingredients known to boost testosterone under certain circumstances such as zin and DIM, and so may be somewhat effective on both counts.

Be warned that this product should only remain truly effective for customers that currently suffer from low testosterone levels or who suffer from a zinc deficiency, but the anecdotal evidence suggests that many customers are happy with the product’s effects.

There are numerous customers who have reported a range of side effects from taking Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite; the most common side effect appears to be headaches.

Zhou Nutrition offer a money-back guarantee on their products, and have a great reputation for customer service.

Overall, we do not recommend Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite to our readers, due to the significant number of side effects reported in customer reviews.

Does Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite Work?

In truth, genuinely effective testosterone boosters that avoid relying on harmful anabolic steroids are hard to come by. There are few natural and herbal ingredients out there that can really boost testosterone, but this product appears to do a good job at finding some of the best options available.

This product uses an interesting mix of libido boosters and genuine testosterone boosters to create its effect. Many of its key ingredients (such as tribulus terrestris, fenugreek, and tongkat ali) are known to be effective at combating erectile dysfunction. A few other ingredients (such as zinc, horny goat weed, and DIM) have been found to boost testosterone levels under certain conditions, and normally in circumstances where customers already suffer from lower levels or deficiencies in certain minerals or vitamins.

If you have low testosterone levels, then this supplement could potentially help to increase your testosterone levels towards a normal level, but if you already have healthy testosterone levels it is unlikely to boost them further. Its main benefit appears to be boosting libido, a benefit that the manufacturers merely alluded to in their sales pitch.

What Are The Ingredients of Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite?

The ingredients found in Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite are detailed below. The ingredient quantities provided are per serving of three veggie capsules.

  • Zinc (as Zinc Citrate) 40 mg (500% RDA): The human body cannot store zinc, and so it needs to be replaced daily through the diet or through supplementation. One study suggested that men who have a zinc deficiency could raise their testosterone levels by supplementing zinc. Over-supplementing zinc seems to be unlikely to affect testosterone levels at all. Source
  • Tribulus Terrestris (45% Saponins) (fruit) 500 mg: This libido enhancer and erectile dysfunction cure has been repeatedly found to have no impact on testosterone levels, fat loss/gain or athletic performance. Source
  • Horny Goat Weed (10% Icariins) 400 mg: One study in rats showed that Horny Goat Weed increases testosterone levels, but this has not been tested at all in humans. Horny Goat weed is most often used as an aphrodisiac and erectile aid. Source
  • Fenugreek Seed Extract (60% Saponins) 300 mg: Research indicates that fenugreek causes a noticeable boost to libido, but its supplementation does not seem to affect testosterone levels. It can also be used to treat a loss of appetite. Source
  • Maca Root Powder 250 mg: This Peruvian plant has been used for numerous ailments, including infertility and to boost the sex drive. No clinical evidence has been presented to support any use. Source
  • Panax Ginseng Root Extract 150 mg: Panax Ginseng, sometimes also known as Korean Ginseng, is associated with improved cognition in fatigued subjects and slight decreases in muscle damage after exercise. It also appears to reduce fatigue, and consumers report feeling calmer after consumption. Source
  • Diindolylmethane (DIM) 100 mg: When dosed correctly, this aromatase inhibitor keeps oestrogen levels controlled by converting more potent forms of oestrogen into less potent forms. It can also prevent testosterone from being freely converted into oestrogen. However, the dosage is all-important – too much DIM, and the ingredient works to boost oestrogen levels! Source
  • Tongkat Ali Extract 100:1 50 mg: More commonly known as LongJack. Well renowned for treating erectile dysfunction and increasing libido and virility. May also decrease anxiety, and has also shown to increase power output in training trial participants in preliminary studies. Evidence that it increases testosterone levels are minimal. Source
  • Yohimbe Bark Extract 1.5 mg: Some studies have noticed increased blood concentrations of free fatty acids in participants who use yohimbe extract, suggesting increased rates of lipolysis, but it does not appear to translate to actual weight loss. It is a stimulant, and comes with a long list of potential side effects. Erection may be improved slightly by yohimbe supplementation, but it does not appear to “overcome organic erectile dysfunction associated with poor blood flow”. Source

Does Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite Have Any Side Effects?

Effective testosterone boosters are known for their side effects, and this product is no exception. Increased testosterone levels can also involve changes in temperament such as an increase in aggression and mood swings, an increase in sex drive, and increased body hair. Very high testosterone levels can lead to a lowered sperm count, or problems with periods. Zhou-Nutrition Boost Elite is not intended for use by women.

Although the dosage of zinc included in this product is within a safe range, this high dosage can still sometimes cause nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, a metallic taste in the mouth, and stomach/kidney damage.

Caution:
Do not exceed recommended daily dosage. This product should only be taken by healthy individuals at least 18 years of age or older. Do not consume if pregnant or nursing. You should not take this product with alcohol. Discontinue use and consult a medical doctor if you experience unusual symptoms. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if safety seal is damaged or missing. Store in a cool, dry place. Not suitable for anyone who is sensitive to stimulant ingredients. If you are taking any prescription medications, or are being treated for depression, anxiety or any other mental illnesses, consult your doctor before purchase. Restrict your usage of caffeine and other stimulants whilst taking this product.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite?

There are over two thousand customer reviews for Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite on Amazon, where the product is sold. Whilst the majority of customer reviews are positive, there are also numerous customers who reported experiencing side effects whilst taking this supplement. There are numerous three and four star rated reviews that state that although the product did not work for them, the customer service they received was excellent and the reason behind their higher rating.

The effects weren’t super obvious at first, but now that I’ve gone a couple weeks without it, I can tell the difference. Definitely good to make sure you’re reaching peak performance, if you know what I mean. Will purchase again.

I thought I had taken test boosters in the past. I was wrong. I never had the surge of energy and increased desire to work out play hard and work hard. My body feels stronger and more adaptable. I can feel the pump in my muscles like I was twenty again. The only draw back is I get a headache for the first few days and with each dose increase I start lower than recommend and work my way up it helps reduce the headaches.

I have been taking this booster for a month now and have been really pleased with the results. The product delivers on all it’s promises and I actually feel younger and more driven to workout. It did take about 3 weeks to really feel the effects in full, so I really recommend using the full month supply before deciding if it’s right for you.

This had no effects on my actual free testosterone levels or libido. Can’t recommend.

**edit. The folks at Zhou did refund my full purchase price after seeing my 1 star review. So while I can’t recommend the product based on my own experience with it I will change my review to 4 stars for the superb customer service.

I’ve taken this for 3 days now. Each day I;m having horrible headaches that last over 3 hours.

Headache and stomach ache, not good over time, started off with no side effects, then I noticed I felt good and then when I took another 2 pills my stomach would hurt and I would get a headache. Gave it a shot, I’m done.

Felt no change in energy and felt extremely ill every time I took it no matter what time of day or if I had eaten or not.

I took this every day for 30 days in an attempt to boost my testosterone/energy for workouts and the only difference I felt was that my testicles were sore (once I stopped taking them, my testies returned to normal + pain-free)

Ultimately, I feel I was suckered in by the marketing and positive reviews. Are these reviews legitimate? Who knows? Maybe this does work for some people. I, however, cannot recommend this product and this is coming from a healthy and fit 30 year old.
