What You Need To Know About XPI Androshred

XPI Androshred is a reasonably good looking supplement. It comes with a guarantee and XPI seem to be a reputable company. We have never heard of any associated problems with them so it seems safe to say you can buy in confidence without the fear of being ripped off. The supplement comes with a guarantee too so you can try it more or less risk free. That said, we cannot see Androshred really making a huge difference. For any chance of it working to burn fat and increase testosterone you will need to hit the gym or do some exercise, preferably resistance training. Do that and you may find that it helps support your efforts. There is evidence that green tea and exercise increases fat burning and training is a natural way to increase testosterone anyway.

What Are The Side Effects Of XPI Androshred?

Although there is nothing that dangerous contained in this supplement you may experience side effects. Creatine for example draws water from muscles so you will need to ensure you do not become dehydrated and avoid training in the heat. Caffeine can cause stimulant side effects. Agmatine has been known to cause vomiting in some cases. It is possible that the supplement may make you smell of curry. View the full list below.

How Much Does XPI Androshred Cost?

You can buy XPI Androshred direct from the XPI website. One bottle of 60 capsules (30 servings or one month’s supply) costs $59.95 with flat rate US shipping an additional $4.95. Two bottles of XPI Androshred (60 servings) costs $109.95 and comes with a free bottle of Myotein – the popular protein powder on sale from XPS. This option comes with free shipping.

Our Verdict On XPI Androshred

We feel the testosterone boosting claims of the advertising are exaggerated but that said, this supplement looks safe. There are potential side effects so it won’t suit everyone but the same could be said of many other supplements on the market. You may just have to suck it and see! At least you can probably get a refund if it doesn’t work out for you. The downside is that there are rather a lot of ifs and buts with this supplement. It may work if you do this, it might not work if you do that and as said the evidence leaves a lot to be desired. There is little feedback so it is obviously not that popular either. We cannot see it making you feel like you are 18 again! Overall, we feel that although it has some good points, it is not quite good enough to add to our approved list so have no other option but to reject it.

XPI Androshred Review

XPI Androshred is a fat burner designed for men. Many supplements claim to be ‘too strong for girls’ and in many cases, it’s just a bit of sexist and macho advertising.

However, XPI Androshred is different to this. The reason it is aimed at men lies with the ingredients list that the advertising says will help increase testosterone. Testosterone is a vital hormone and although both genders have some testosterone, for men this hormone is closely tied up with health and wellbeing as well as their sex drive.

Low testosterone is linked with obesity and although it is not completely known whether obesity leads to low testosterone or whether low testosterone leads to obesity there is a real connection between the two.

XPI Androshred Facts

  • Androshred is marketed by XPI Supplements
  • Each bottle contains 60 capsules – one month’s supply
  • Supplement is aimed only at men

Androshred contains Indian spice Fenugreek known as a natural testosterone booster and a natural way to increase sex drive. It also contains trace mineral Boron a chemical element found in some soils in arid climates and abundant in fruits and vegetables grown in soil which naturally contains Boron. According to the advertising, 10mg of Boron daily helps increase testosterone levels.

Another testosterone-boosting component of Androshred is Agmatine Sulfate. This is derived from amino acid L Arginine and is believed to increase mental alertness and may have many applications. It is best known as a way to increase nitric oxide –and is often used by body builders to boost performance.

How to Take XPI Androshred

For the best results, take your servings of Androshred 15 minutes before a meal.
We recommend starting with just 1 pill before breakfast to assess your tolerance. You can work your way up to two serving of 2 pills, but don’t exceed this amount.

Nitric oxide is a vacillator – it helps widen veins and as a result increases performance. In addition, there may be some evidence it plays a role in stimulating the production of testosterone. (Nitric Oxide is nothing to do with nitrous oxide or laughing gas despite the similar sounding name.)

The final testosterone-boosting ingredient is Zinc a trace mineral that is also important in the production of testosterone as well as providing other health benefits.

XPI Androshred Concerns:

  • Some of the so-called clinical evidence mentioned in the advertising is misleading
  • Unless you train, this supplement may not make any difference at all
  • There are some health concerns about taking zinc supplements

Other ingredients in the formula include green tea, caffeine, vitamin B12 and Creatine a chemical found naturally in the muscles of the body.

Creatine supplements are popular with body builders because there is evidence that it can increase muscle development. There is also evidence that the combination of green tea and caffeine may increase the speed of the metabolism and assist fat burning

What Does XPI Androshred Claim To Do?

According to the product information Androshred is,

FINALLY, A FAT BURNER DESIGNED JUST FOR MEN.

The secret lies in its unique combination of 8 key ingredients that not only melt stubborn fat away, but optimize natural testosterone levels.

The advertising explains why this is important,

Natural testosterone levels progressively drop with any weight loss plan. This leads to plateaus, muscle loss and even a decreased libido. Testosterone is one of the most important hormones men produce and it directly affects how well we lose weight.

There are four key features. This supplement will help you:

  • Build Muscle
  • Burn Fat Fast
  • Boost Sex Drive
  • Increase Energy

It contains ‘clinically studied ingredients that deliver real results’.

However, the product information does not provide any further details about this clinical evidence, which is a serious omission.

Does XPI Androshred Work?

One customer says it works and is happy with this supplement. However, this is only one person writing back in 2014 and since then nobody has bothered leaving a review.
We cannot see this supplement doing too much harm but the ingredients lack real evidence that they will increase testosterone in the way as described. However, training can naturally increase testosterone levels so this supplement may help support this process.
In addition, you may notice a mild fat burning effect and the stimulant effect of the caffeine may give your energy levels a lift.
According to some clinical investigation, Green tea combined with resistance training may lead to a decrease in body fat.

What Are The Ingredients of XPI Androshred?

Androshred is a fat burner combined with a testosterone booster. Each serving is equal to two capsules. Amounts here provided are per serving.

  • Vitamin B12 (360mcg): This vital vitamin is involved in cell reproduction, carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red cells. It also plays a key role in the functioning of the brain and nervous system. According to medical advice 300-10,000 mcg (microgram) daily is suitable for a range of purposes including the treatment of anaemia so quantities here are in line with that.

  • Zinc ACC (15mg): Zinc is a mineral your body needs to regulate growth and maintain body functions such as immune response and testosterone levels.
  • Fenugreek (300mg): This herb will be familiar to people who eat curry – it has a strong smell and a pungent taste. It is supposed to increase testosterone and boost libido but there is a lack of evidence to prove it. In natural form, it is well known for causing your sweat to smell of curry.
  • Caffeine Anhydrous (250mg): According to the product information, Caffeine Anhydrous is a concentrated form of caffeine having had the water removed from it. It stimulates the release epinephrine and norepinephrine, two hormones responsible for mobilizing fat cells to be used for energy. Although this is accurate, there is nothing special about caffeine anhydrous. It is exactly the same as the caffeine in the coffee you drink and as everyone knows, it does help perk up your energy levels. Amount here is the equivalent of around 3 cups of instant coffee.
  • Agmatine Sulfate (250mg): According to XPI, studies have shown Agmatine Sulfate increases the release of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus, which in turn stimulates the production of testosterone in the testes. However, we have been unable to locate these studies and most testing appears to have only been carried out on mice. Lacks evidence.
    Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17927294
  • Creatine HCL (250mg): Chemical found in the muscles of the body and also produced in the lab for supplements. Believed to help muscle building, strength and endurance and popular with bodybuilders.
  • Green Select Phytosome Tea (150mg): According to the product information, this branded green tea has all the metabolic benefits of green tea, without the caffeine. They state that in one clinical trial concluded users were able to lose an average of more than 30 pounds in only 90 days!! This is nonsense. There is no valid clinical evidence that suggests that green tea will make you lose 30 lbs in 90 days.
    Source:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23235664
  • Boron (as Boron citrate) (5mg): This trace mineral influences many of your biological processes. According to XPI, a recent study found that 10mg of Boron a day significantly increased free testosterone levels. However, we were unable to locate this study. Does it exist? We are not sure. What we did find that rather than taking Boron supplements, bodybuilding appears to increase testosterone. In one clinical test into Boron both the placebo group and the control group dramatically increased testosterone following 7 weeks of bodybuilding.

The product information does not provide any health information or warnings, which is bad. This supplement contains caffeine so at least there should have been a warning about potential stimulant side effects.
