What You Need To Know About Vintage Build

Vintage Build is a post-workout supplement intended to help speed up recovery after a workout, and to help maximise muscle building. It contains a blend of Glutamine, Creatine Monohydrate, and BCAAs.

Vintage Build is available in two flavours, Lemon-Lime and Fresh Berries.

What Are The Side Effects Of Vintage Build?

The ingredients found in Vintage Build could potentially cause some side effects.

Side effects associated with BCAA are rare and are usually not serious. They can include nausea, pain, and headaches. BCAA can affect blood sugar levels, and so diabetics should consult their doctor before taking this supplement.

Glutamine can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, gas, swelling in your hands or feet, muscle or joint pain, back pain, headache, dizziness, tired feeling, mild skin rash or itching, dry mouth, runny nose, and increased sweating.

Glutamine supplementation could make Cirrhosis worse. If you are sensitive to MSG, you might also be sensitive to glutamine, because the body converts glutamine to glutamate.

Creatine can cause some side effects including stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, and muscle cramping. Creatine causes muscles to draw water from the rest of your body.

How Much Does Vintage Build Cost?

There are some customer complaints about the high cost of Vintage Build, but fans of the product state that the high price is worth it. Vintage Build is sold exclusively through Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. On Amazon.com, a single tub costs $39.99. Delivery charges may apply. From Amazon.co.uk, a single tub costs £39.99. Delivery charges may also apply. Each tub contains 30 servings.

Our Verdict On Vintage Build

Vintage Build combines several popular supplements that are often taken to improve muscle mass gains and performance in the gym. Creatine monohydrate is typically taken as a pre-workout as it causes production of ATP in the cells, which can help to increase power output in the gym. This makes it an unusual choice to market this product as a post-workout supplement.

There are some customer comments about how the price of Vintage Build is higher than other supplements with a similar ingredients profile.

Side effects could occur whilst taking this product; Glutamine and Creatine Monohydrate can negatively impact or worsen several health conditions. Those interested in the supplement should check the side effects section to see whether this supplement is suitable for them, or should consult their doctor before purchase.

The manufacturers of Vintage Build offer a money-back guarantee, but they do not state how long this is valid for after purchase. If you want to get a refund, contact Old School Labs sooner rather than later, just in case.

Overall, we do not recommend Vintage Build to our readers.

  • BUILDS MUSCLE, NOT BULKVintage Build™ delivers an uncompromisingly dosed, safe and highly effective mixture of 3 essential muscle building ingredients: Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs), Creatine Monohydrate, and L-Glutamine. This no-nonsense combination has been proven to work over time and is what gives Vintage Build™ its designation as a Triple Crown muscle builder.
  • IMPROVES STRENGTH & RECOVERY
Vintage Build™ improves strength and speeds up recovery. When combined, these benefits allow you to perform your workouts at a higher intensity, which helps fuel further muscular development and growth.
  • CONVENIENT & GREAT TASTING
Vintage Build™, now available in Lemon-Lime and Fresh Berries flavors, has been painstakingly formulated to bring you its trio of essential muscle-building ingredients in a powder that mixes easily and tastes great with water or your protein shake, and contains no artificial flavors or sweeteners.

Does Vintage Build Work?

BCAAs and glutamine can be incredibly useful to supplement, in the right circumstances. If customers are vegetarian or do not frequently consume large quantities of protein in their diet, they may find themselves deficient in either BCAAs or glutamine (or both). Supplementation would then help to improve endurance or muscle-building outcomes in the gym. Studies also show that inexperienced athletes see improvements in physical performance/endurance whilst supplementing BCAAs.

Consumers also need to combine the consumption of any BCAA supplement with muscle building exercises in order to make any difference to their muscle mass (and indirectly their metabolic rate); BCAA supplementation will not cause new muscle growth on its own!

What Are The Ingredients of Vintage Build?

The ingredients found in Vintage Build are detailed below. The ingredient quantities provided are per serving of one scoop. Consumers can take up to two scoops per day.

  • BCAAs: Branched chain amino acids are used by the body as a building block of protein, which is what muscle is made from. Supplementing Branch Chain Amino Acids in adequate quantities in combination with muscle-building exercise will help to build muscle mass. It may also help to prevent fatigue in novice athletes. There are three main types of BCAAs, Leucine, Valine, and IsoLeucine Source
  • L-Leucine 2500 mg: An essential branched chain amino acid which stimulates protein synthesis in the body, and is used as a building block for muscle. Whilst dieting, supplementing Leucine could help to maintain muscle mass whilst still losing fat mass, as it is used to help fuel muscle. Unlike the others, Leucine is potent enough to be supplemented in isolation.
  • L-Valine 1250 mg: Valine appears to be the least potent of the branched chain amino acids, but will still play a small role in stimulating protein synthesis and promoting glucose consumption and uptake (when used in combination with the others). Source
  • L-Isoleucine 1250 mg: Isoleucine appears to promote glucose consumption and uptake. It also plays a role in inducing muscle protein synthesis (although it is not as strong as Leucine). Source
  • Creatine Monohydrate 3000 mg: This molecule helps to rapidly produce ATP in the muscles, helping to boost strength and power in the gym. Source
  • L-Glutamine 2000 mg: This is an essential amino acid, which is a building block of protein. It is the most abundant free amino acid in the body, and is produced in the muscles and distributed where it is needed via the circulatory system. Supplementation can only help to build muscle in limited circumstances, as (once again) most people enjoy sufficient stocks of glutamine from their regular diet or from protein powders. Source

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Vintage Build?

There are thousands of customer reviews for Vintage Build on Amazon, where the product is sold.

I was sceptical about buying this product due to the price. But after reading the reviews I thought it’s worth a try. Ive used various supplements like this for years and I must say this is the best by far. It seems to have the ability to keep my pump after a workout for longer and keeps my recovery time short so I can work out for longer periods of time and get back in the gym feeling recovered from the previous day’s workout. This is my 3rd tub, I stopped taking it to see if it had an effect and yes it did. At the time I was taking no other supplements other than this so I know that those gains was due to this product. I’ll be taking this from now on. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Don’t let the price put you off.

I’m already half way through my old school vintage build and haven’t seen an awful lot of difference from my other branded formula to be fair. I know I’m only half way using it but at nearly £40 a tub it’s quite expensive compared to other brands. Just hoping i see a bigger change with the other half of tub or I’d have to switch back to my other formulas as they’d do the same job and are a lot cheaper..

Been using this for about a month added to my regular protein shake and definitely noticed a big improvement in physique. I think this is down to faster recovery times allowing me to train a lot harder.

Hope Old School start selling some of their other products in UK. In the meantime I’m ordering another tub.

Still too early to notice anything as I’ve only used it on workout days (3x/week) as a post-workout drink for the past week. Great packaging. Comes with a scoop. The Fresh Berries flavour is terrible in my opinion. Mildly sweet, tangy, sour and a bit off…. I’ll have to give the lime flavour a shot the next time.

Expensive compared to results from say Scivation and the Extend Line… with BCAA.

Has a poor taste even with all the stuff I put in my blender after a workout. Biggest thing, I that I kind of think the EXTEND BCAA made me feel better and recover better.

Let’s be honest. You can buy a month supply of BCAA, Glutamine and Creatine powder all separately for under 25 bucks if you shop around. Your protein powder probably already has 5g+ of BCAA and Glutamine. I use this powder for its convenience and relatively low level of Creatine. I have barely started introducing Creatine into my diet so I wanted to start at a low dose and move up to maybe 5g eventually. With 3 weeks of daily use I can see a bit of difference in muscle tone, my muscles seem a bit fuller and I don’t get sore as much after heavy lifting. Not sure if I’ll purchase again but the flavor and convenience makes it a product that I like. Much easier to throw a scoop in my shaker and head to the gym as opposed to taking 3 scoops of 3 seperate products that taste like cement mix. Would recommend for light/moderate weight lifters to get on a Creatine stack. Moderate rating because it’s very much on the pricey side, lower the price by $10 and I’ll be a monthly buyer.
