Truth Nutra Redwood is a natural supplement that aims to boost Nitric Oxide production, which will improve blood flow. It was developed to help men who are facing problems with their erectile function. Increasing Nitric Oxide can improve overall circulatory health, reduce varicose veins, lower blood pressure, and improve your ability to gain and maintain an erection.
The product information seems to be unclear as to whether this product is just for men, or for men and women. In the FAQs they state:
Is Redwood only for men?
Yes, but we have a similar product for women called Varacil.
However, Varacil does not seem to be available anymore, and this product, Redwood, is included in some of the women’s product bundles although the descriptions still seem to mix up the two products. It would appear that Varacil has probably been replaced by Redwood for women and so this supplement can be used for women too (for slightly different purposes, obviously). But we are concerned about the confusing information provided.
Redwood is manufactured by Truth Nutra, a US company based in Colorado, started by Christopher Walker who studied neuroscience. His diagnosis of a tumour on his pituitary gland led him to find a natural hormone solution to cure himself which eventually led to him to start this supplement company.
They make nootropic and hormonal supplements for both men and women, as well as books and courses on the subject.
Horse chestnut products can sometimes cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, stomach upset, and itching.
Garlic can cause breath and body odour, upset stomach, or heartburn.
Casein peptides (Casein Hydrolysate) are normally consumed in the diet from milk products. But there isn’t enough information to know if casein peptides in dietary supplements are safe. People with milk allergy are allergic to the proteins contained in milk; they may also be allergic to fragments of milk proteins, such as casein peptides. If you have a milk allergy, it’s best to avoid taking casein peptides.
There is some concern that casein peptides might interfere with blood pressure control during and after surgery. You should stop taking casein peptides at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.
Pine Bark Extract can cause dizziness, gut problems, headache, and mouth ulcers.
Truth Nutra Redwood is quite expensive. It costs $39.95 for a 30 day supply, or you can save 15% by signing up to the ‘Subscribe and Save’ option, so it will cost you $33.96 per month.
Erectile function declines naturally as a man grows older. This can be very frustrating and lead to feelings of inadequacy. There are several male enhancement supplements geared to help men combat this. Truth Nutra Redwood aims to improve Nitric Oxide production which supports blood flow in the body, which can have a positive effect on erectile dysfunction as well as varicose veins and blood pressure.
Redwood contains some good ingredients, that could potentially help with these circulatory issues, but there isn’t enough scientific evidence to support them overall.
Pine Bark extract appears to be more effective than Horse Chestnut, and limited research suggests that it could help with erectile dysfunction but it needs to be taken long-term to have this effect. As well as this, many of the human trials on Pine Bark extract have had industry funding and lack replication, and the majority have combined Pine Bark with L-Arginine so it is hard to know whether it could really work in this supplement or in general for this purpose.
Take 3 capsules with food up to two times each day (ideally every 12 hours, such as one serving at 8am and one serving at 8pm).
We also have concerns about taking a natural blood thinner such as Horse Chestnut extract. There is not enough scientific evidence to support its use to improve circulatory health, and it comes with potential side effects and shouldn’t be used long term.
Truth Nutra offers a ‘Subscribe and Save’ option that you can sign up to a when you buy the product. This reduces the cost by 15%. Subscribe and save is an auto-ship agreement that sends you fresh supplies every month or so, and bills your credit card automatically. We advise caution as these types of agreement can be hard to cancel.
However, Truth Nutra do at least make it clear that it is easy to pause or cancel your subscription at any time, as well as claiming that they will send you a reminder email and give you a courtesy phone call to let you know your subscription will renew and when to expect it, which we like.
Other Truth Nutra products we have reviewed also includes Truth Nutra Testro-X.
Truth Nutra Redwood claims to boost Nitric Oxide production leading to massively improved blood flow and giving:
We think it is unlikely that Redwood will work as desired. Some of the desired effects would take time to achieve and require the supplement to be consumed long term, which is not advised when it contains Horse Chestnut. There is also has not been enough unbiased scientific research carried out to support the use of these ingredients as Nitric Oxide boosters.
The dosages of the ingredients are good overall so the product could potentially help with improved blood flow and general cardiovascular health, but it also may do nothing at all and it is quite an expensive product for it to do nothing.
Ingredients are equal to one serving size of 3 capsules.

We could not find any independent reviews for this product. There are some reviews on the official website, all of which are unsurprisingly positive.
An example includes:
have pretty bad circulation and this stuff is amazing. Total game changer. My hands and feet are “fuller” and have more color to them instead of just being really pale. Also AMAZING for the bedroom. Even if I’ve been drinking a lot, I pop some of these and boom: no whiskey ****.
Truth Nutra does claim to offer a full money-back guarantee on first-time purchases.
They state,
Yes, we offer a 60 day money back guarantee. Please contact [email protected] to arrange for a return & refund. To protect ourselves from fraud, this is only valid on first time purchases within 60 days of purchase and does not pertain to third-party items (non-Truth Nutra brands) or bundles & stacks.
You can buy it from the official website for $39.95 for one bottle of 180 capsules. They ship internationally but you may be subject to import duties, taxes, and shipping charges.
Truth Nutra Redwood is a Nitric Oxide booster mainly aimed at men. It contains some interesting ingredients that have the potential to help with circulation and improve varicose veins.
Horse Chestnut has been found to be beneficial for varicose veins as well as venous insufficiency and it appears here in good levels. However, despite this, we do not recommend taking it as a supplement. Horse Chestnut comes with numerous potential side effects and has been classified by the FDA as an unsafe herb. In its natural state, it is toxic. Also, there is not enough scientific evidence to support its use for any condition and taking this ingredient could be dangerous if you are on any medication such as Warfarin.
Added to this, Horse Chestnut should only be taken short term, whereas one of the other ingredients, Pine Bark extract has only been found to work when taken long term. Pine Bark extract when used alone or in combination with L-Arginine has been found to potentially improve sexual function in men with erectile dysfunction but it can take up to 3 months of treatment for significant improvement. The levels here are slightly low though and the research on this is limited.
Garlic is used for many conditions related to the heart and blood system. These conditions include high blood pressure, low blood pressure, and reduced blood flow due to narrowed arteries, so it is a good addition to this supplement. However, the daily dosage here is quite low at 600mg at the maximum daily dose, and most studies have found that it has these benefits at doses of 600-1,200mg per day.
Overall, we do not recommend Truth Nutra Redwood to our readers.
