True Grit Test Booster is part of a relatively new range of bodybuilding supplements, which come from major bodybuilding website and nutrition store, bodybuilding.com. This supplement is made with athletes in mind, looking to boost performance and muscle rather than men looking to recapture their youthful joie de vie and sex drive.
True Grit Test Booster looks to be a reputable product made by a well-known company and is not expensive. It is aimed at athletes but we can see no reason why ordinary men should not take it to increase their testosterone too. Although there is a risk of an allergic reaction, otherwise side effects are not an issue. However, the testosterone effects are not strictly proven and if you live outside the USA this supplement is not available.
Side effects may include headaches, nausea, stomach upset, bloating, diarrhoea, coughing and wheezing, changes to blood sugar levels, and risk of an allergic reaction.
1 x bottle of 120 capsules of True Grit Test Booster (1 month’s supply) costs $29.99 if you buy from the product website or via Bodybuilding.com.
Sometimes 2 x bottles are available for this price, so check before you buy to see if Bodybuilding.com are running a special offer.
True Grit Test Booster has some good points. We like the clear ingredients profile and the lack of reported side effects.
However, this supplement does not seem to have generated much excitement or interest so in our opinion it seems unlikely to work very effectively. That said some people have used this supplement to improve their exercise performance.
You may notice something and at this price it is a good deal, especially if you get it on a special offer but its all a bit lack lustre and effects are unlikely to be earth shattering. Overall, we do not recommend True Grit Test Booster.
True Grit Test Booster contains natural herbal ingredients in order to boost testosterone levels as well as decrease estradiol – a female oestrogen hormone and cortisol a stress hormone.
Ingredients include Bladderwrack seaweed, broccoli extract and Fenugreek – an Indian spice that is becoming increasingly popular in testosterone supplements due to some very positive looking research.
Other ingredients include two patented supplements. These are Primavit, based on Shilajit – a mineral compound obtained from the mountains of the Himalayas, and Sensoril, a patented Withania Somnifera supplement. This ingredient, also known as Ashwagandha, is often taken for sleep disturbances and anxiety and there is some evidence that it may reduce the stress hormone Cortisol.
Take 1 serving (2 tablets) twice daily. Take the first serving in the morning and the second serving in the mid-afternoon.
On workout days, take the second serving 30 minutes before your workout. Do not exceed 2 servings in a 24-hour period. Read the entire label before use and follow the directions provided.
The final ingredients are Yacon, Boron Citrate and Safed Musli a traditional Indian medicinal herb. All the ingredients in True Grit Test Booster have either proof or belief as having a special application to testosterone production or sexual health. Many are used in traditional Indian or Ayurvedic medicine.
The True Grit range of products are aimed at athletes and bodybuilders. These include a pre work out supplement, multi vitamin, a Thermogenic weight loss supplement and more.
True Grit was launched in 2015 by Body building.com, a major online supplement and nutrition store and is the company’s first own brand supplement range.
True Grit Test Booster is a supplement that the makers claim will work on your hormones in three ways. These are that it:
According to the advertising True Grit Test Booster will increase serum testosterone – the testosterone that is weakly attached to albumins and which research has suggested that the body can use immediately, unlike the testosterone which is firmly attached to the sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG).
In addition, the advertising claims that the supplement will boost free testosterone levels. This is the type of testosterone that is just circulating in your body ready for use.
It will also decrease estradiol levels – a steroid and oestrogen sex hormone as well as
decreasing the stress hormone cortisol.
It is always hard to judge the efficacy of a herbal supplement like this. In many cases, research into each ingredient will throw up conflicting results and in addition, we are all different and have different responses to herbal extracts.
However, some customer feedback looks pretty positive. Many customers feel that it helps with their training and exercise regime and in turn, this has lead to improved results.
All the ingredients in True Grit Test Booster have been clinically tested but it is important to remember that this does not mean the ingredients are clinically proven to work. In addition, some of the tests have been small scale or on animals so there is no real proof that they will live up to the claims.
Serving size is equal to two capsules.
Customers have not reported any side effects from True Grit Test Booster. However, you should avoid this supplement if you have any known allergies to the ingredients.
Potential side effects may include:
Not suitable for individuals under 18.
Do not take if you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breast feeding. Speak to your doctor first if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking prescription medication in case of interactions.
Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. In the case of an allergic reaction such as a rash or facial swelling, seek medical advice immediately.
There are numerous reviews on the Bodybuilding.com website and it is a point in this company’s favour that they have included negative as well as positive reviews.
Some people are very satisfied with this supplement as this man reported,
Amazing test booster makes me feel great and helps you get really strong.
This man went into further detail,
I have been taking this for the last few weeks and I have to say I am impressed with the results. I am an endurance athlete, long distance running and cycling…
…I find that I can apply more effort for a longer period of time and have been able to shave off a minute in my mile pace and have had gains in my strengthen training and muscle growth and definition. I have not noticed any side effects. Overall this is a great product.
By contrast, this customer did not notice any difference,
Didn’t feel anything. Doubled the dose and still didn’t.
This customer was also disappointed,
I am just about thru my first bottle, I got it in a BOGO deal. Which I am glad I did, this is honestly only the 2nd test boost I have ever taken. I am not noticing anything with it…. Kind of disappointing.
Although opinions vary, the good news is that nobody has mentioned side effects.
