We take an in-depth look at Onnit T+ Total Strength + Performance to try and determine if it is as effective as it claims. Scroll down to read our full review.
Onnit T+ Total Strength + Performance appears to be an expensive pre-workout supplement that could give some results, provided costumers can handle the unpleasant taste. A tub contains 30 servings but as users are instructed to take two servings a day, it will last only 15 days – which could become expensive on the long-term.
Potential side effects include nausea, headaches, vomiting, bloating, insomnia, tachycardia, hallucinations, agitation, dehydration and abnormal body movement. It is not recommended for diabetics as it can influence blood sugar levels.
Onnit T+ Total Strength + Performance is quite expensive with a tub of 312 g (about 30 servings) costing $59.99.
Customers’ reviews are mixed but theyr generally agree that the product tastes so bad that is is almost undrinkable. This alone can put people off. It also has good reviews and some evidence of effectiveness from clinical trials, but because of the horrible taste and the high price, we cannot recommend Onnit T+ Total Strength + Performance.
Onnit T+ Total Strength + Performance is manufactured by Onnit, a company based in Texas and well-known for its wide range of health and fitness products.
Some of the ingredients contained in Onnit T+ Total Strength + Performance seems a bit useless for the function of the product. For example, nettle is a diuretic and won’t provide the users with any energetic benefits and longjack is typically used to treat “virility issues”.
For individuals under 165 pounds, take two scoops 30 minutes prior to training and one scoop 30 minutes after training. For individuals over 205 pounds, take two scoops 30 minutes prior to training and two scoops 30 minutes after training. On non-training days take recommended serving divided evenly with breakfast and lunch. Do not exceed four scoops in a 24 hour period unless otherwise directed by a health care practitioner.
NOTE: Cycle the T+ by taking it for no more than 30 days, followed by 15 days off.
According to the manufacturers, the proprietary formula used in Onnit T+ Total Strength + Performance is designed to:
Despite its disgusting taste, many customers are satisfied with the product. However, many of the ingredients have never been clinically tested and even those who have demonstrate little evidenc eof effectiveness. Theoretically, the product could improve strength where of a user already undertaking strength training and could allow him to train harder and for longer before reaching exhaustion. Yet, the horrible taste of Onnit T+ Total Strength + Performance – that a buyer compared to the “taste of death” – could put off users from actually using a product that is quite expensive, resulting in a loss of money.

There are numerous customer reviews for Onnit T+ Total Strength + Performance on the official website; the reviews are mixed but all customers agree on one point: it tastes horrible.
It doesn’t work – waste of time and money. Do not bother buying.
I honestly believe that this could be a great supplement for someone looking to do more strength training. But it is completely unpalatable, the natural melon flavor is disgusting. I understand making performance/optimization supplements is what Onnit’s about. But you guys should change up the flavor on this one. I’ll never buy it again.
Like all of Onnits supplements the earth grown nutrients and results I get during my training sessions are why I use this product. However if they can improve the taste it would be the complete package with regards to ere-workouts supplements. Just leaves a bad taste on the tongue.
Taste like death, but by God it works! The taste is terrible with just water. You have to cut it with juice, or another drink of your choice. Other than that, this is an excellent product when take as directed.
I switched to T+ recently and I’m extremely happy with the results. I have noticed an increase in strength and lifting ability. Going to bed at night knowing I’m going to chug this stuff down in the AM is motivating enough. That being said, it’s very hard to get it all down. I definitely plug my nose and have to wash out the taste before unplugging my nose. Since it doesn’t mix well, I got a chunk at the bottom of my shaker and gagged pretty hard trying to get it down on the first day. I definitely recommend the product, but I don’t know if I could buy another one until the taste is changed.
As much as I wanted this product to increases strength and performance it did not work for me. Taste is horrible and rough on the stomach.
