Below we take an in-depth look at Micronamin M2, to see whether this thermogenic fat burner and pre-workout can deliver weight loss results without causing a host of unpleasant side effects.
Micronamin M2 is a fat-burner that claims to work by providing customers with a sharp burst of energy, alongside a serving of thermogenic green tea. It was originally manufactured by Micronamin, an American supplement manufacturer founded by a pair of disabled veterans. It now appears to be sold by a different company called Robin Hood Supplements, and is available to buy for a relatively low price from Amazon.
Thermogenic fat burners like M2 often rely on combinations of caffeine, synephrine, and other ingredients known to cause jittery side effects.
This product contains a strong dose of caffeine, PEA, and synephrine, a combination that is known to cause heart palpitations, jitters, sleeplessness, irritability, headaches, and more. Stimulant mixes like this have also been linked with serious heart problems, strokes, and even rare fatalities.
The Yohimbe found in this product can also cause anxiety, stomach upset, mood swings, high blood pressure, and many other issues. Exercise some caution when using this product and do not use more than is recommended by the manufacturer.
Micronamin M2 is a relatively inexpensive supplement compared to many others out there. A 30-capsule pack costs just $19.95 on Amazon, and discounts may be available for customers looking to purchase in bulk.
Micronamin M2 is a fairly typical thermogenic weight loss product, providing the usual combination of caffeine, green tea, and synephrine, alongside a few other ingredients of limited usefulness. This tried and true formula should work to boost the metabolism, and cause the body to burn more calories/fat whilst resting.
This simple and sought-after effect is not without its many drawbacks. In short, the more effective a stimulant-based thermogenic product is, the more likely it is to cause serious side effects. M2 is no exception, and we would expect it to cause a range of issues including heart palpitations, sleeplessness, high blood pressure, and more.
For these reasons, thermogenic fat-burners are often the source of many complaints in customer reviews sections. Micronamin appear to have avoided this inevitability by simply faking dozens of reviews on their Amazon page, giving this product the impression of popularity it doesn’t actually possess.
Overall, we don’t generally recommend products like these because we feel that the very small benefits they offer are not worth the associated health risks they pose. Even if you were tempted to try out a stimulant-based thermogenic, we imagine you would want to try one backed with a real money-back guarantee and one that is genuinely popular with customers, two conditions that M2 cannot satisfy.
We do not recommend Micronamin M2 to our readers.
Micronamin M2 is a thermogenic weight loss supplement that is also designed to be taken as a pre-workout. The formula works by giving customers a source of “extended release” energy that can help to boost the metabolism and fuel muscle-building workouts. The capsules provided in each pack of M2 are designed to be taken directly before workouts or meals, and due to their high caffeine content, they must not be taken anytime in the late afternoon or evening.
This fat burner is manufactured by Micronamin, a US-based company that was founded in 2015 by two disabled veterans. Micronamin claims to be a company that was “built by veterans to serve veterans”. The group not only promises to develop supplements that are designed in consultation with US army veterans, but also aims to donate 10% of its profits to charities that support military veterans.
The directions for use are as follows:
As a dietary supplement, adults take 1 capsules before working out with a small meal or protein shake. On non-workout days, take 1 capsule with your first meal of the day. Do not take within 8 hours of bedtime.
Micronamin’s listed email address is [email protected] However, as of 2018 Micronamin’s website address and Amazon sales pages appear to be controlled by another supplement manufacturer (Robin Hood Supplements), and Micronamin’s social media pages appear to have been inactive for much of the year. Although we cannot be 100% sure, it appears that Micronamin has been taken over by Robin Hood Supplements, and so customers looking to contact the company may have to go through them ([email protected]).
Micronamin M2 is advertised as a thermogenic weight loss supplement, which works by artificially raising the body’s temperature and metabolism in order to burn fat and calories. It also gives customers a significant burst of energy that supposedly lasts throughout the day, making it appropriate to take in the morning or directly before an intense workout.
In addition to the above benefits, Micronamin claim that their product can act as an appetite suppressant, helping dieters to avoid “unnecessary calories” throughout the day.
M2 uses a heady mixture of caffeine, green tea, synephrine, and Yohimbe, a group of ingredients which tend to work well together to create a thermogenic, fat-burning effect (at the expense of a host of unpleasant side effects). The strong stimulant effect we associate with caffeine and synephrine mixes should also provide a significant burst of energy, and the manufacturers balancing of quick-release and slow-release energy sources should help this effect to remain strong and long-lasting.
The other ingredients found in this product are either mood-boosting nootropic ingredients, or diuretic ingredients that make you urinate more often. There is nothing in this product that should act as an appetite suppressant, although some customers find that the side effects associated with caffeine/synephrine make them feel too sickly to want to eat much.
Overall, this product should work well as a thermogenic fat burner and pre-workout, with customer reviews generally finding it to be effective.
The ingredients used in Micronamin M2 are listed below. The ingredient quantities listed are correct for 1 capsule.
Like many other weight loss products that rely on a strong stimulant effect, M2 could cause a number of serious side effects, including heart palpitations and headaches.
The main driving source of side effects is the high caffeine content, which can cause problems like headaches, an increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness, and insomnia. The green tea from which much of the caffeine is sourced can also cause constipation.
Other stimulants used in this product can also causer issues, especially when combined with caffeine. Phenethylamine works in a similar way to the drug amphetamine, and may cause similar side effects (including a rapid heart rate, anxiety, or agitation). Side effects associated with Synephrine include an increased heart rate and increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, fainting, and even heart attacks and strokes in healthy patients. The effects of synephrine are enhanced when combined with caffeine, the main ingredient in M2.
Yohimbe can cause a wide range of side effects, including stomach upset, excitation, tremor, sleep problems, anxiety or agitation, high blood pressure, a racing heartbeat, dizziness, stomach problems, drooling, sinus pain, irritability, headache, frequent urination, bloating, rash, nausea, and vomiting. High doses can cause more severe effects. Finally, nettle leaves act as a diuretic and so increased urination is an expected side effect.
Caution:
If you are pregnant, nursing or on prescription medication, consult your physician before use. Do not use if safety seal is broken or missing. Discontinue use if adverse reactions occur. Close tightly and keep out of reach of children.
Micronamin M2 has highly positive reviews on Amazon, but this may be more due to fakery than real customer support. We checked the 23 reviews placed on M2’s Amazon product page on the review-checking website FakeSpot, and found that many appear to have been faked by the manufacturers. This of course only refers to the reviews that are still on the page – we’ve also seen evidence that at least 8 have been removed by Amazon over the last year due to fakery! We don’t really trust this positive reaction for these reasons, and we’ve taken care to pick out the more trustworthy reviews for your perusal below.
When I do take this supplement, I notice a clear difference. I have more clarity of thought, and I have more “sustained” energy with some bursts. For example: previous to taking M2, I would struggle to make 20-30 minutes of weights with 15-20 minutes of a steady 8 minute per mile run on the treadmill; and now, I can blow through 30+ minutes of weights and 30+ minutes of the treadmill with no problem. When I get up earlier than usual for work, I take one M2 pill and I feel a definite enhancement. I notice the effects approximately 15 minutes after taking one pill and it lasts approximately 6-8 hours. However, due to my body and mind working harder, it is noticeably drained once the effects of the pill wear off. I only take the pill before a workout (4 times a week) and when I need to get up earlier for work (2 times a month), so I don’t take it daily. I will provide more feedback regularly.
it was good . I would recommend this product for use and not jittery at all..
love it. Works great. Feel slim already only in 3 days.
Great product and I love that supports our military veterans.
I’ve had better, I’ve had worse!
As of 2018, it is not actually clear which manufacturer is responsible for selling this product (Micronamin or Robin Hood Supplements), which makes it hard to know which company customers have to speak to in order to organise a return. In any case, neither manufacturer appears to have any kind of returns policy or money-back guarantee scheme.
Micronamin M2 is currently only available to buy on Amazon. A month’s supply of 30 capsules costs $19.95 plus shipping.
