McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth

What You Need To Know About McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth

McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth is an all-in-one pre-workout and performance-boosting supplement. Although primarily designed to improve muscular output, boost testosterone, and aid with weight loss, L-iquid Youth also claims to have a long list of other benefits including beautifying effects, gut protection, immune-system safeguarding, an anti-aging effect, and more. This article will only cover the men’s version of the L-iquid Youth product, as the women’s version is considerably different in terms of ingredients and effects.

What Are The Side Effects Of McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth?

Customers taking Men’s L-iquid Youth will be exposed to a huge number of ingredients, which greatly increases the chance of side effects.

One major source of frequent side effects in many product like this is plain old caffeine, which can cause jitters, sleeplessness, heart palpitations, and increased blood pressure in high doses. The high and various doses of l-arginine in this product could also cause a range of effects, including blood pressure changes, dizziness, vomiting, loss of consciousness, breathing issues, bloating, and diarrhoea.

The other ingredients found in this product may cause a host of miscellaneous adverse effects, including but not limited to, stomach issues, sweating, headaches, psychosis symptoms, vomiting, seizures, foul body odour, prostate problems, and short-term depression. Check our Side Effects tab for more details.

How Much Does McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth Cost?

McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth is an extraordinarily expensive product, costing $100 plus $7 in shipping for a month’s supply. Discounts are only available when signing up for an auto-ship program or when buying in bulk, and still result in a month’s supply costing $90 as a minimum. This product is only available to buy from the official McCall Fitness website.

Our Verdict On McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth

Overall, McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth is not as impressive as its overblown claims would suggest. Although we remain impressed at the ingredients used to create the athletic performance-boosting effect, the lack of published ingredient quantities makes it impossible to gauge how effective the formulation really is.

The customer reviews that we were able to find fail to inspire confidence as well. The majority of the positive reviews appear to have been faked, and the product suffers from a number of decidedly negative comments. The consensus appears to be that the product’s extraordinarily high price is scandalous when one considers how weak it appears to be. Dissatisfied customers will also find themselves unable to return the product due to McCall Fitness’ lack of money back guarantee.

In our estimation, the real issue with this product is its attempting to do a million things at once, with the apparent result being that it seems to deliver poor results on all counts. Customers would probably achieve better results (and save money surprisingly) by simply picking a few high-quality specialist products, rather than a poorer-quality all-in-one like this.

Overall, we do not recommend McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth to our readers.

McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth Review

McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth is a pre-workout supplement that is designed to boost testosterone, build muscle, and burn fat. Specifically advertised as an all-in-one formula, Men’s L-iquid Youth comes with “day” and “night” formulas that are obviously designed to be taken at different times of the day. As well as being comprehensive, this product is also marketed as extremely fast-acting, with customers told to expect results within just one week.

How to Take McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth

The directions for use are as follows:

Take 1 Scoop (approximately 19g) of Day Formula in the Morning, & 1 Scoop (approximately 21.5g) of Night Formula at Night. Use these fruit flavored formulas 5 days a week.

For clarity, the L-iquid Youth product comes in a men’s and women’s version and this article covers just the men’s product. The two versions are actually surprisingly different, meaning that we decided to give the women’s version its own article.

McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth Concerns:

  • No money back guarantee
  • When factoring in the high number of fake reviews, customer reception is mixed
  • Extraordinarily expensive supplement

What Does McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth Claim To Do?

The men’s version of the L-iquid Youth product promises an all-in-one action, delivering muscle-building results, libido/testosterone boosts, NO boosts, and weight loss. In addition, the formula is said to stimulate the pituitary gland and regenerate skin cells in order to deliver an anti-aging effect, as well as support the immune system and control cholesterol levels in order to improve overall health. Other ingredients found in this product are said to remove toxins and waste from the intestinal lining (which supposedly guarantees greater absorption of nutrients from food), as well as boosting the body’s metabolism.

If that’s not all, this complex product also claims to have several nootropic effects, from increasing mental focus and stamina, to delivering relaxing sleep late at night. Last but not least, this powdered pre-workout also claims to help sustain skin elasticity, support healthy hair, and improve complexion.

Does McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth Work?

As always with products that fail to declare their ingredient quantities, it’s hard to fully confirm whether this product works as advertised. However, an in-depth look at the ingredients that are supposed to be in the mix indicates that this product should work quite well as a testosterone and muscle-booster in theory.

The formula used in both products rely on several sources of l-arginine and other complementary ingredients (such as norvaline), which helps to boost its relative effect. Along with the host of other useful amino acids and performance-boosters, we imagine this product could work well as a pre-workout (as long as everything turns out to be balanced correctly).

As for the other claims, we’ve found no evidence that this product could seriously work to improve beauty or have an anti-aging effect. That being said, there are individual ingredients that have been included to boost cognition, improve sleep, improve the immune system, and take care of the gut lining.

One final point to mention is that we have found the customer reviews for this product to be decidedly mixed. Although we would consider this set of ingredients to be roughly effective at delivering what is advertised, the evidence of the customer reviews suggests that there may be some problems with the ingredient quantities after all. Approach with caution.

What Are The Ingredients of McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth?

The ingredients found in McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth are detailed below. Readers should note that ingredient quantities are not listed for this product, which can make it hard for us to estimate how effective it is and the likelihood of side effects occurring.

Men’s Tropical Sunrise Blend (Day Formula) 16,735mg

  • L-Ornithine HCI: This rarely-used ingredient is actually an amino acid. One outdated study linked its use with improvements in lean mass and power output in weightlifters, but these results have not been replicated elsewhere. Source
  • Palatinose: This artificial sweetener is similar to sucrose, but is distinguishable by its slow-digesting nature. Source
  • L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate: This essential amino acid is plentiful in foods and can be made by the body. Important for wound healing and circulation, l-arginine is thought to boost the levels of Nitric Oxide in the body. The use of the Alpha-Ketoglutarate salt is intended to increase intestinal uptake. Source
  • Inositol-Stabilized Arginine Silicate (Nitrosigine): This patented complex raises the levels of arginine in the blood for far longer than normal (up to 3 hours according to one clinical trial). The same trial indicates that the ingredient increases NO production and blood flow.
  • D-Aspartic Acid: This amino acid that has been proven to raise testosterone and Luteinizing Hormone (LH) levels in men who have low testosterone levels. LH is used by the body to produce more testosterone. This form of DAA appears to have a low bioavailability, and could cause a stomach ache. Source
  • L-Glutamine: This is an essential amino acid, which is a building block of protein. It is the most abundant free amino acid in the body, and is produced in the muscles and distributed where it is needed via the circulatory system. Supplementation can only help to build muscle in limited circumstances, as (once again) most people enjoy sufficient stocks of glutamine from their regular diet or from protein powders. Source
  • L-Carnitine: There is some evidence that supplementation of acetyl-l-carnitine can reduce body fat, although the strongest results were seen in the elderly. The ingredient also boosts energy levels, and is used to treat fatigue. Source
  • Agmatine Sulfate: Agmatine Sulfate is thought by some to act as a useful form of pain relief, although most sports supplement manufacturers promote it as a way to improve performance and aid exercise recovery. Source
  • Caffeine Complex (Caffeine Anhydrous, Dicaffeine Malate, Caffeine Citrate): Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism, causing a small increase in the number of calories used by the body. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive. Caffeine is also known to boost athletic performance. Source
  • N-Acetyl L-Carnitine: See above
  • Norvaline: This amino acid is thought to be complementary to l-arginine, as it inhibits arginase and helps to prolong and intensify the effect that arginine has on the body. Source
  • Citrulline Malate: L-Citrulline is thought to increase l-arginine levels in the body, which in turn widens the blood vessels and increases blood flow to the muscles. Source
  • L-Lysine HCI: Lysine is an amino acid that is sometimes used to improve athletic performance. Source
  • Green Tea (leaf) Extract: Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins and caffeine both increase energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism temporarily. However, the metabolic increase caused by green tea is limited. One study found that the use of green tea was not enough to counteract weight gain following a high calorie diet. Source
  • ColostruMune (Colostrum): While not known for boosting performance, colostrum contains useful growth hormones and helps to protect the gut lining and eases gastrointestinal problems. Source
  • GPC Compound: In Europe alpha-GPC is a prescription medication for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, but in the USA it is a prescription free dietary supplement. It appears to have some cognitive-boosting properties, helps to prevent cognitive decline, and may also enhance power output in athletes. Source
  • Beet (root) Extract (providing nitrates)
  • Trans-Resveratrol: This ingredient is a type of polyphenol, an antioxidant, which is found naturally in the skin of red grapes, as well as some other plant sources. Resveratrol has been found to help prevent insulin resistance, and so indirectly could have implications for weight loss in some patients. However, as yet this has not been confirmed conclusively through clinical trials. It is thought that antioxidants in general promote general health and wellness. Source
  • Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxine HCI) 2mg: Vitamin B6 has several important functions in the body, including ‘allowing the body to use and store energy from protein and carbohydrates in food’. Whilst taking excess amounts of vitamin B6 will not infinitely improve this ability, a deficiency could make it more difficult to lose weight. Vitamin B6 is naturally present in a wide variety of foods, including meat, cereals, bread and vegetables, and is often included in fortified breakfast cereals. Source
  • Vitamin B12 (as Cyanocobalamin) 6mcg: Vitamin B12 is naturally present in many foods, primarily meat, fish, and dairy products. It has several roles, including aiding in releasing energy from consumed food, and keeping the nervous system healthy. It may be that a deficiency hinders weight loss, but taking excessive amounts could be harmful (as in this product, which contains 500% of your RDA per pack). Source
  • Potassium (from Inositol-Stabilized Arginine Silicate) 75mg

Men’s Tahitian Sunset Blend (Night Formula) 19,012mg

  • L-Arginine Pyroglutamate: The pyroglutamate form of arginine is different only in its method of delivering the amino acid into the body. Source
  • Glycine: Although most people will enjoy sufficient supplies of glycine from their normal diet, this amino acid is still vitally important for the normal functioning of the body. It is mainly involved in the formation of creatine, and in the metabolism and digestive processes in general. Source
  • ZMA (Zinc monomethionine, aspartate, and Magnesium Aspartate): This convenient way of taking zinc could help to boost muscle power and achievement in the gym. It has also been associated with restful sleep. However, it will only be effective in cases where the customer has a zinc deficiency. Source
  • Alpha GPC Compound: See above entry on GPC Compound
  • Mucuna Pruriens (fruit) Extract: Mucuna Pruriens contains L-Dopa, a precursor to dopamine (which is the pleasure hormone that’s released in the brain). Most L-Dopa is broken down by the body before it ever reaches the brain. Source
  • Tribulus Terrestris (fruit) Extract: This libido enhancer and erectile dysfunction cure has been repeatedly found to have no impact on fat loss/gain or athletic performance. Source
  • Melatonin: Melatonin is a hormone which helps to regulate the body’s sleep cycle. It is used as a supplement to treat insomnia, and is also used to treat depression. Source
  • L-Ornithine HCI
  • L-Lysine HCI
  • D-Aspartic Acid
  • N-Acetyl L-Carnitine
  • L-Glutamine
  • ColustruMune (Colostum)
  • Citrulline Malate
  • Trans-Resveratrol

Does McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth Have Any Side Effects?

As with many products with high numbers of ingredients, there is a moderate-to-high chance of this product causing side effects.

High doses of caffeine can cause headaches, jitteriness, insomnia, an increased heartrate, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, and increased blood pressure. The use of L-arginine may also lead to some side effects including abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhoea, blood abnormalities, airway inflammation, worsening of asthma, and low blood pressure. Arginine can increase Nitric Oxide levels, and this can in turn lower blood pressure; anyone who already has low blood pressure, or who is taking medications that affect blood pressure, should avoid taking arginine and other supplements that claim to increase NO levels.

In one study, L-Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate (AAKG) caused side effects including dizziness, vomiting, and loss of consciousness. AAKG is not recommended for continuous, high-level use for more than 60 days.

D-Aspartic acid has been associated with stomach aches and sweating. Mucuna Pruriens can sometimes cause nausea, bloating, vomiting and insomnia, and on rare occasions has caused more serious headaches, a pounding heartbeat, and symptoms of psychosis.

L-carnitine is generally thought to be safe for use, although it can occasionally cause stomach problems, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhoea, seizures, and a fishy odour from the urine, sweat, and breath. Lysine can cause stomach pain and diarrhoea.

Tribulus terrestris can sometimes cause mild insomnia, and there are some concerns that it may be linked to prostate problems in men. Melatonin can cause headaches, short-term depression, dizziness, stomach cramps, and irritability. Very high doses of ornithine could cause diarrhoea, but this is incredibly unlikely as doses of 4 or more grams per day are generally well-tolerated in trials.

Maximum safe doses in pregnant or nursing women, young children, and those with severe liver or kidney disease have not yet been established. If you are diabetic, have severe liver, or kidney disease, please consult a medical doctor before use. If you have angina, congestive heart failure, or intermittent claudication, do not attempt to treat yourself with arginine derived nutritional products except under a physician’s supervision. Not intended for the use by persons under 18. Do not use if you have had a heart attack. Inhalation may amplify the inflammatory response in people with asthma. Consult a medical doctor before use if you have been treated for, or diagnosed with or have a family history of any medical condition, or if you are using any prescription or over-the-counter drug(s). Consult a medical doctor before starting any diet or exercise program. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Improper use of this product will not improve results. Use only as directed. Do not use if package has been tampered with. Do not refrigerate. Store in a cool, dry place (60 to 80 degrees). Keep out of the reach of children.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth?

We were able to find a number of customer reviews on an old cached Amazon product page. Although many of these reviews are positive, closer inspection reveals that almost all were written by users who had not purchased the product from brand new accounts (a sure sign of fakery). When factoring in only the “verified purchase” reviews, the reception for L-iquid Youth is far more mixed, although the positive reviews are practically ecstatic in their praise.

I’ve been taking it for 3 weeks. I’ve lost 2 inches off my waist… I roll my shirts sleeves, they’ve become uncomfortably tight. I’ve gotten compliments… my love handles are noticeably smaller… only three weeks in. 3 weeks… My better energy has definitely helped my parenting. I yell WAY less. I laugh way more… I’ve had amazing nights sleep. I no longer sit in bed an run through all my conversations for the day… I’m able to work harder at the gym. My HIIT is more HI than it previously was before, in a quantifiable manner!.. The bad part of this product is the taste…I would still be taking it, the other benefits have been amazing.

I feel better than I have in years. Right to sleep and fantastic energy the entire day. Worth every penny.

I am in my early 50’s and about 20 lbs. overweight, but otherwise in OK shape. I wanted something to get me jump-started to better health, such as weight control and alertness. I used this product exactly as instructed, but to be honest it provided me absolutely no benefit at all. I didn’t sleep any better. My weight stayed exactly the same. I experienced no change in my libido nor in my performance. I could not gauge or sense and difference in my alertness or drive. Since it is expensive, even for what it claims to provide, I would not recommend this to any one based on my experience with it. Some may say that I should have kept using this for another month or so. But to see nothing come from the first month I elected to pass on continuing the use it. Good luck.

After consuming about half the containers, I had noticed none of the claimed effects. Actually, the night formula made it harder to sleep for me, so I started taking it earlier in the evening. The morning formula had no noticeable effect other than growing stomach upset… I really hoped that this product might give me whatever edge I needed beyond my current efforts to cut the final belly. I have tried other products that did not help, and this one did not either.

Does McCall Fitness Men’s L-iquid Youth Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

McCall Fitness claim to offer a “100% Money Back” policy, but the terms and conditions reveal that this is actually incredibly restricted. When they are referring to “100% money back”, what they are actually referring to is that they do not charge any restocking fees on unopened products.
