What You Need To Know About Mass Grow Amplified

Mass Grow Amplified is a British supplement that comes from South Coast company Natural Muscle Company who sell exclusively online via the company website. It looks pretty good and it will probably work as described in helping you build muscle and bulk up. However this supplement is very heavily laden with protein, fats, and carbs so unless you are really working out and training, you may put weight on rather than lose fat and build muscle. Mass Grow Amplified is billed as a premium good quality supplement and it is one of the pricier protein powders on the market.

What Are The Side Effects Of Mass Grow Amplified?

Potential side effects may include; abdominal discomfort, bloating, gas, weight gain, diarrhoea, nausea, headaches, and low blood sugar.

How Much Does Mass Grow Amplified Cost?

Mass Grow Amplified is very expensive. It is only available via the official Natural Muscle Co. Website where it costs £67. 49 for one 2080g tub which contains just 16 servings.

Our Verdict On Mass Grow Amplified

Mass Grow Amplified will not suit everyone, but if you are a heavyweight bodybuilder looking for a massive protein serving to build muscle and bulk up, you may be interested in this supplement. Mass Grow Amplified has to be the largest protein serving we have seen, and used incorrectly will add to weight because each serving is so high in carbs, fats, and calories (476). That said, it certainly packs a punch so if you are feeling dissatisfied by your usual protein brand, this one may be worth a try.

We like that Mass Grow Amplified is made in the UK so conforms to industry standards, and we love the idea of the chocolate flavour and the amino acid profile. We are less keen on the high price and the high calorie count of this supplement, therefore we do not recommend Mass Grow Amplified.

Mass Grow Amplified Review

Mass Grow Amplified is a protein powder that may help you build muscle. It contains 44.2g of protein per five scoop serving, which seems extremely high compared to many on the market. Many protein powders deliver around 44g per serving, of which the protein accounts for usually around half of this figure. With Mass Grow Amplified the full serving size is a massive 130g, of which protein makes up 44.2 g.

The protein component is provided by whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate – two versions of whey protein with the concentrate containing more fat. Whey protein provides the full spectrum of amino acids essential for muscle growth and recovery. The supplement is also a source of BCCAAs (branched chain amino acids) and Creatine, a natural substance that can help fuel exercise performance and short energy bursts.

Additional ingredients include fenugreek, oat flour, ZMA – compound that contains Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate, Magnesium Aspartate, and Vitamin B6, and is often taken to promote recovery and may have an effect upon testosterone levels. It contains D Ribose, a type of sugar that the body makes from sugar, and is believed effective by bodybuilders for increasing power and muscle strength.

Does Mass Grow Amplified Work?

Yes, if you use it correctly it will work as described. Increasing your energy levels and workouts will require additional protein for building muscle, and it is an undeniable fact that this supplement does contain a lot of protein! In addition it looks like the complete package with ingredients to help muscle recovery, energy, relaxation, and even boost testosterone.

That said the serving size is large. We certainly would not recommend this supplement, unless your aim is to bulk up and build muscle via an extensive training program. This is certainly not a weight loss supplement, and it is important to remember that at 130g per serving, yet only 44g of protein, meaning there are a lot of additional ingredients. Each serving contains a whopping 65.9 g serving of carbs and 11.9g of sugar, and weighs in at 472 calories.

What Are The Ingredients of Mass Grow Amplified?

Each serving is equal to 5 scoops or 130g. The ingredients information is rather confusing. Exact quantities are not provided but there is a nutritional breakdown.

Per serving, this supplement contains 472 calories, 65.9 g carbohydrate including 11.96 g of sugars, and 4.94g of fat.

The ingredients are listed as follows.

Oat Flour, Waxy Maize Starch, Whey Protein Concentrate, Fructose, Whey Protein Isolate, Micellar Casein* (Milk Protein), Cocoa Powder, Creatine Monohydrate, L-Glutamine, L-Glycine, Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT), Beta Alanine, D-Ribose, Conjugated Linoleic Acid, L-Leucine, L-Valine, L-Arginine HCl, Fenugreek Extract, ZMA, Avena Sativa Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Carbogen, Aminogen (digestive proteases from aspergillus niger and aspergillus oryzae) Vitamin E (D-Alpha tocopherol succinate), Soy Lecithin (emulsifier Not Soy Protein), Natural Colour, Stevia (Natural Sweetener), and Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin).

These are broken down as follows:

  • Aminogen (250mcg): Patented plant enzyme system made by a company called Triaco Industries. It is supposed to help increase the body’s absorption of amino acids, and contains digestive proteases for this function. Aminogen is not available to buy but is sometimes included in supplements. Source
  • Arginine (1.9g): Amino acid produced in the kidneys that helps relax arteries, increasing blood and oxygen flow.
  • Avena Sativa (220mg): Oats have a cholesterol lowering effect, and can help reduce feelings of hunger when used in diet as with porridge. In very low serving size here so unlikely to do much.
  • Beta Alanine (3g): Beta Alanine is an amino acid that is produced in the liver, and is also available through diet such as poultry and meat. Beta Alanine is a precursor to Carnosine, and there is evidence that taking Beta Alanine increases the concentration of carnosine and therefore muscle mass. Beta Alanine is well known as a sports nutritional supplement.
  • Carbogen (350mcg): Mixture comprising of carbon dioxide and oxygen gas. We cannot see what this odd ingredient is even doing here.
  • Creatine Monohydrate (3g): Creatine is a natural substance in the body and its role is to supply energy to cells, especially muscle cells, whenever it is needed. Creatine is a nitrogenous organic acid meaning that it can help with blood supply to organs, so it has numerous functions. There is some evidence it can help brain function, but it is used most commonly as a support for training and recovery, building muscle, and increasing strength.
  • D-Ribose Information (1.5g): Type of natural sugar made in the body which provides energy for cells, and may help improve exercise performance. May lower blood sugar levels.
  • Fenugreek (500mg): Indian cooking spice that may help increase insulin and lower blood sugar levels. It is sometimes touted as an aphrodisiac.
  • Glutamine (7.9g): Amino acid which is important for muscle development.
  • Glycine (2.3g): Amino acid involved with the transmission of chemical messengers in the brain, but scientists have yet to establish its potential as a supplement.
  • Medium Chain Triglycerides (1.65g): MCTs are fats are made up of medium-chain fatty acids which are beneficial for weight loss. When you consume foodstuffs containing MCTS it has a thermogenic effect upon your body. The body uses carbs for energy but when you consume MCTs, these are transported directly to the liver where they are metabolized.
  • Protein (44.2g): Whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate, here is a whopping serving. Whey is a source of amino acids, often called the building blocks of protein.
  • BCAA (8.3g): Part of the protein content, branched chain amino acids so called because of their molecular shape. Supplementation can aid recovery following exercise and assist in muscle repair. There are three BCAAs; Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine. Out of the three, Leucine and Isoleucine are the most important.
  • Leucine Information (3.9g): Part of the BCAA content, Leucine is a BCAA that plays an important role in muscle protein synthesis.
  • Sodium 93.3g (Equivalent as Salt: 0.23g):
  • Vitamin B12 (70mcg): B12, often called Folate, is important for healthy blood cell production and energy. Lack of B12 causes fatigue and mental fogginess. Here at 4000% so in excess of RDA, but well within the tolerable upper limit. Source
  • Vitamin C (150mg): Here in 150% of the RDA, but unlikely to cause side effects. Vitamin C is an essential vitamin that the body needs but cannot manufacture.
  • Vitamin E (100iu): Important for health and immunity because of the strong antioxidant effect. Here in a safe serving of 83% RDA
  • ZMA (300mg): Compound comprising of Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate, Magnesium Aspartate, and Vitamin B6.Some evidence suggests it may increase muscle strength, and it is supposed to increase testosterone and improve sleep patterns. However it lacks any real evidence it will work in the way as described. Source
