IsoFlex

Rating
The Whey protein isolate used in IsoFlex is 90% protein, which is one of the highest percentages available. This makes it a very high quality protein source, but if the consumer is not exercising, and not trying to build muscle mass, they could actually end up putting on fat mass, as protein supplements are another source of calories!

Below we look at IsoFlex to find out what its benefits are for the consumer, and if it is really as effective as the manufacturers claim.

IsoFlex Pros

  • May help to maximise muscle gains
  • 8 flavours – good variety

IsoFlex Cons

What You Need To Know About IsoFlex

IsoFlex is a supplement designed to maximise muscle gains, supporting a strong exercise regimen, and in this regard, it appears to deliver. Whey Protein Isolate is also thought to suppress the appetite slightly, but we could not find any customer testimonials describing this effect or weight loss.

What Are The Side Effects Of IsoFlex?

Side effects include increased bowel movements, nausea, thirst, bloating, cramps, reduced appetite, fatigue, and headaches.

How Much Does IsoFlex Cost?

A 1lb tub containing 14 servings costs $22.99. A 2lb tub, containing 30 servings, costs $39.99, and a 5lb tub containing 75 servings, costs $87.99.

Our Verdict On IsoFlex

There is no money back guarantee for this supplement, but it is covered by the fairly thorough returns policy that bodybuilding.com offer. They are also the only retailer that we could locate who sold all sizes and flavours of the protein powder. When drinking a glass per day or even more (directions for use are vague), taste is important- customers have generally rated the flavours favourably, but some people clearly have their preferences and dislikes. The 8 flavours available should provide enough variation for even fussy consumers.

Although this supplement appears to be a good protein powder supplement, it will not contribute weight loss, and so we do not recommend IsoFlex as a weight loss aid. However, it could be added to a good exercise regimen and balanced diet to help to maximise muscle gains.

IsoFlex Review

IsoFlex is a pure whey protein isolate supplement that the manufacturers describe as the best on the market. A single serving contains 27 grams of protein and 110 calories, with no sugar. It comes in eight flavours; vanilla, chocolate, orange dreamsicle, chocolate mint, strawberry, chocolate peanut butter, pineapple coconut and banana.

IsoFlex Facts

  • Manufactured by All Max Nutrition
  • 1lb, 2lb or 5lb tubs available
  • 8 flavours available

IsoFlex is manufactured by All Max Nutrition, who are based in Toronto, Canada. The company appears to be quite difficult to contact, as they do not provide a phone number, and they ask customers to check the product page for more information before sending them any inquiries about products. However, they do have a facebook page where they can be contacted.

How to Take IsoFlex

Blend, mix or shake 1 rounded scoop (30g) with ~5 oz. (150 ml, 3/4 of a cup) of cold water or low-fat milk, depending on desired taste and consistency, anytime you want an ultra-premium high-protein beverage.

The Whey protein isolate used in IsoFlex is 90% protein, which is one of the highest percentages available. This makes it a very high quality protein source, especially as Whey Protein Isolate is incredibly bioavailable. In combination with the right exercise program and muscle building exercises, it will help to maximise muscle growth. If the consumer is not exercising, and not trying to build muscle mass, they could actually end up putting on fat mass, as protein supplements are another source of calories!

IsoFlex Concerns:

  • No money back guarantee
  • Unlikely to aid weight loss

Alpha Lipoic Acid appears to have a small impact upon weight loss, by suppressing the appetite and causing a very mild boost in fat burning- however, even this information is based only upon animal studies, and so the effects may not be the same in humans. If the consumer does not change their eating habits to reflect their suppressed appetite, they will not lose any weight.L-Arginine may help to speed up recovery after strenuous exercise, allowing the consumer to exercise more often, and achieve better results.

What Does IsoFlex Claim To Do?

The manufacturers of IsoFlex don’t actually give very much information about what the protein supplement is supposed to do or how it will benefit the consumer. Instead, they just emphasise how their supplement is a superior whey protein supplement to other brands. We believe that this is because the majority of their potential customers already know that they want a protein powder supplement, and are merely choosing between the available brands.

Does IsoFlex Work?

IsoFlex does appear to be a good source of easily digestible protein, and so it could help to maximise muscle gains in consumers who are regularly training to increase their muscle mass.

We cannot stress enough how this supplement will not aid weight loss or increase muscle mass on its own, and it is only to improve the margins of gains made from appropriate exercises. The consumer should also factor the calorie content of IsoFlex into their diet plan, to avoid adding fat mass as well as muscle mass.

What Are The Ingredients of IsoFlex?

The ingredients used in Isoflex are detailed below. The ingredient quantities are not provided on the official website, but may be listed on the side of the bottle. Ingredients are listed in order of quantity, and so whey protein isolate is the main ingredient in this supplement.

This fatty acid also appears to boost fat burning slightly, although the effects are not as large as the noted suppression of appetite.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For IsoFlex?

There are numerous customer reviews for IsoFlex on the bodybuilding.com sales page.

AMAZING isolate profile with 0’s down the board on the nutrition label. I made the mistake of buying the Chocolate Mint though… The flavor is like a 5 year old Andes Mint. Chalky, oxodized, stale, dusty trash with a hint of mint. I couldn’t even mix it with anything to make it taste better. I wound up throwing out 4/5ths of a 5lb container because of the taste. Even though it cost me a fortune, I just couldn’t do it. BUY IT! Just dont get the chocolate mint flavor!!!

Pure whey isolate. Amazing taste for a zero card isolate protein. Costly compared to other whey proteins in the market but this is pure whey isolate (and not blend) and the servings per container is more than the others, which makes this a pretty good deal. I just started my cycle and will give it atlas 3 months to comment on the gains.

isolate is the first ingredient on the list which is great. flavor is very good. mixed easily and no digestion issues. A +

Probably my favorite isolate on the market , I take a scoop and a half post workout , making it 40 G protein , doesn’t get much more pure and smoother then this , won’t leave you feeling bloated and taste is awesome also , have had peanut butter chocolate, and the chocolate mint, the peanut butter chocolate reminds me of eating Reese’s peanut butter puffs cereal when I was younger

Bought a small jug of IsoFlex protein when Dymatize Iso-100 was out of stock. It’s good if you are lactose intolerant and gets the job done well, but the taste is a little rough. Both my wife and I will continue to use it as a backup, but not as our main protein supplement. Thanks.
